One of my alltime fav songs….. It makes me feel so differnt, deep, and silent everytime I listen to this song:
Do naina ek kahani
thodasa badal..thodasa pani ……
aur ek kahani……………………..
Chotisi do zheelon main woh behti rehti hai……….
koi sune ya na sune kehti rehti hai………….
kuch likhke aur kuch jubani……….
thodasa badal..thodasa pani ……
aur ek kahani……………………..
Thodi si hai jani huye thodi si nayee
jahan ruke ansson wahi poori huyee….
hai to nayee par purani
thodasa badal..thodasa pani ……
aur ek kahani……………………..
Ek khatma ho to dusari raat aajati hai….
hoton pe phir bhooli huyee baat aajati hai…
do nainon ki hai yeh kahani….
thodasa badal..thodasa pani ……
aur ek kahani……………………..
Do naina ek kahani

I think u had displayed u r singing skills with this poem at Suman’s flat..and me and suman shouting “noooooooooooooo”
March 26, 2008 at 9:20 am
@ Kiran: Liar Liar Pants On Fire…..I never sang this song to anyone… It was we who said “nooooooooooooo” when u tried to display ur singing skills to us claiming that u had won a first prize in some singing competition when u were in 1st std.

Arrey, he did win. His dad even told us. And I remember Suman trying to find some semblance of truth in this fact said, “haan yaar! iska avaz ka tone sahi hai ekdum.”

Hey man we want to go,
Yes man we want to go,
Show us the way to go home.
The boots in the army,
They say are mighty fine.
The boots in the army,
They say are mighty fine.
U ask them number 6
they give u number 9
Hey man…we dont want to lead this army life..
Hey man we want to go,
Yes man we want to go,
Show us the way to go home.
The jeeps in the army
They say are mighty fine.
U turn the jeep aside
the wheels are left behind
Hey man…we dont want to lead this army life..
Hey man we want to go,
Yes man we want to go,
Show us the way to go home.
The food in the army,
They say are mighty fine.
U ask them…(I dont remember)
They give u intestine.
Hey man…we dont want to lead this army life..
Hey man we want to go,
Yes man we want to go,
Show us the way to go home.
The salary in the army
They say is mighty fine.
U ask them Rs.100
They take back 99
Hey man…we dont want to lead this army life..
Hey man we want to go,
Yes man we want to go,
Show us the way to go home.

Que Sera Sera
What ever Will be Will be
The future’s not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.
When I was just a little girl
I asked my mother, “What will I be?
Will I be pretty, will I be rich
Here’s what she said to me.
Que Sera, Sera,
Whatever will be, will be
The future’s not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.
When I was young, I fell in love
I asked my sweetheart what will I be
Will we have rainbows,…(I dont remember).
Here’s what my sweetheart said.
Que Sera, Sera,
Whatever will be, will be
The future’s not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.
Now I have children of my own
They ask their mother, what will I be
Will I be handsome, will I be rich
….i dont rememeber
Que Sera, Sera,
Whatever will be, will be
The future’s not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.

I sang this song in 2nd standard and got 2nd prize.. but the first achievement will always be special 🙂 .. and i dont care whether sang a girls’ song… we still do sing so many songs like …
“Choti si aasha”..from roja..that is a girls song ..but all of us sing it..
I think mukul has sung this song..
Brown girl in the ring
tra la la la laa.
There is a brown girl in the ring..
tra lal llaaa
She looks like a sugar in a plump
Plump! plump!!
🙂
All our songs were taught us by nandita.. and we enjoyed rehearsing for them.. but gradually nandita understood that i have a very much manly voice like amitabh ..and at that point my singing career went for a toss…
and for mukul.. cmon he was in YELLOW HOUSE 🙂 🙂
PS: if neone didnt get “yellow house” then let me tell that all the non -achievers, dyslexic, dumb, spastic kids were in yellow house 🙂 🙂 🙂
March 28, 2008 at 6:53 am
I hope my above comment forces mukul to debut on seema’s blog
March 28, 2008 at 6:55 am
U can ask anmol, mukul or any abhinavite for confirmation as to for which song i won the first prize in 1st standard..
March 28, 2008 at 7:09 am
@ Kiran: aare mi C la sangu ka mahantla ani tu lagech 4 comments takles [:)]What effect..Now i know how to tame u [:)]
@ Mukul: “PS: if neone didnt get “yellow house” then let me tell that all the non -achievers, dyslexic, dumb, spastic kids were in yellow house :)” I cant believe Kiran said that….
N I cant imagine what u are going to do to him for this.. I mean the next time u guys meet….
@ Avadhut: Kiran actually thought that he had a career in singing……….
